i’m hanna.
i’m a mother, a journalist and a memory keeper.

to me, journalism is so much more than a degree or what’s on the front page of the times. it’s writing something down, taking photos. it’s preserving history. and it’s in my blood. my background lends way to a documentarian style of photography that aims to capture your family exactly as it is right now. a moment — this moment — frozen in time.

in the kitchen with your kids twirling around. your favorite national park with your soulmate. the farmer’s market in your third trimester.

nothing cheesy. no props, no lights or backgrounds. just you, your people and me (and okay, okay, a few pictures of everyone smiling because i get it, grandmas want that).

i’m mama to two baby girls, mila yayoi and gentry miyoko. i know the days are long, but i’m telling you: the years are so, so short.

you want to remember this.

i want to help.
